Q: Are Hedya lamps dimmable?

Yes. Every lamp has a rotary dimmer on the cord. Use a dimmable LED bulb so the dimmer can adjust the brightness.

Hedya Design’s lighting collection is a range of handmade, 3D-printed table lamps designed and produced in our Chicago studio. Each lamp pairs a sculptural, translucent PETG shade with a PLA base, and every piece is printed and assembled to order — so the lamp you receive is genuinely one of a kind. All of our lamps are dimmable (via a rotary dimmer on the cord, used with a dimmable LED bulb) and designed to cast a soft, warm glow that works as a bedside lamp, desk lamp, or ambient accent light.

How to choose a Hedya lamp

A few things to think about when picking the right lamp for your space:

Where it’s going: For a nightstand or reading nook, the warm amber lamps (Cozy Amber, Aurelia) give a relaxing glow. For a desk or modern console, the darker Cendre and Cozy Black read more architectural. For a child’s room or a playful space, the pastel Cotton Candy is the natural pick.
Light tone: Amber and warm-white shades (≤2700–4000K) create a cozy mood; they’re ideal for bedrooms and living rooms rather than task-bright work light.
Size: Most lamps come in a Short and a Tall version. Short suits nightstands and shelves; Tall makes more of a statement on a console or side table.
Bulb: Every lamp uses an E26/E27 LED bulb. Some include a bulb; others don’t (see the table). Always use LED only — never incandescent or halogen — because the printed PETG/PLA can soften under high heat.
